Maxi Chicks Pigeon Breeder Pellets
The Maxi Chicks Pigeon Breeder is a complete, scientifically formulated pellet feed designed specifically to meet the high nutritional demands of breeding pigeons. Developed in collaboration with the racing pigeon fraternity, it is intended to support parent birds during the demanding phase of rearing squabs (young pigeons). Because pigeons produce "crop milk" to feed their young, their nutritional requirements for protein and fat are significantly higher during the breeding season.
Nutritional Composition
The pellets provide a balanced nutrient profile to ensure the health of the parents and the rapid development of the chicks.
- Protein: Minimum 140 g/kg (14%)
- Fat: Minimum 25 g/kg (2.5%)
- Fiber: Maximum 70 g/kg (7%)
- Moisture: Maximum 120 g/kg (12%)
- Calcium: 20 g/kg to 30 g/kg
- Phosphorus: Minimum 4 g/kg
Key Features and Ingredients
The formulation includes a precise mix of grains, grain by-products, and plant protein products. It is fortified with essential amino acids, minerals, and vitamins to ensure no deficiencies occur during peak production. Additionally, it contains sensory additives and enzymes to aid in digestion and palatability.
Feeding Recommendations
It is highly recommended to feed these pellets as a complete ration rather than mixing them with other grains. Mixing with lower-quality grains can dilute the carefully balanced nutrient levels required for successful breeding. Always ensure that birds have access to clean, fresh water, as the high protein content of breeder pellets increases their hydration needs.
