- A metal curry comb is mostly used to clean your brushes. You wipe your brushes across the jagged metal teeth to remove dust and debris and scurf from them
- It should not be used in place of a rubber curry comb as it can hurt the horse if the horse has a thin coat. If the horse has a thick, coarse winter coat it may be used if the horse does not react negatively towards it
