Pre-Training Pellets
Epol Pre-Training Pellets (also referred to as Pre-Training Cubes) are specifically designed for young racehorses at the beginning of their athletic careers, typically working at a light to medium level. This feed bridges the gap between the growth-focused diet of a yearling and the high-performance requirements of a horse in full racing training. It is fully fortified to support the ongoing physical development of young stock while providing the controlled energy needed for track work.

Key Features
A standout feature of this feed is the inclusion of Vitamin K, which is vital for the skeletal health of young horses subject to the stresses of early training. The formulation uses quality protein sources to assist in building muscle strength and repairing tissue after exercise. Additionally, the starch levels are kept lower than traditional racing feeds to minimize the risk of hindgut acidosis and excitable behavior, helping the young horse remain focused and "clinically healthy" during their introduction to work.
Feeding Guidelines
These pellets should be fed alongside high-quality roughage, with a recommended minimum fiber intake of 1% to 1.5% of the horse's body weight daily. For most young horses in light-medium training, a daily ration of 4kg to 8kg is typical, adjusted based on individual condition and workload. To maximize digestive efficiency and safety, individual meals should not exceed 2.5kg.
