Yearling Pellets
Epol Yearling Pellets are a high-protein ration specifically formulated for foals and young stock from 3 to 4 months of age through to the start of pre-training or sales preparation. The primary goal of this feed is to support stable skeletal development and consistent muscle growth while preventing the "growth spurts" that can lead to developmental orthopedic issues. It is particularly useful for young horses prone to weight loss or those experiencing the stress of weaning, which often causes a temporary drop in appetite and growth rate.

Key Features
The pellets provide a blend of balanced energy sources to ensure daily weight gain remains steady. Because yearlings have high mineral requirements for bone mineralization, the product is fully fortified with a precise ratio of Calcium and Phosphorus. If a youngster becomes too heavy or carries too much condition, these pellets can be partially replaced with an Epol balancer to maintain essential micro-nutrient levels while reducing calorie intake.
Feeding Guidelines
Yearling Pellets should always be fed alongside high-quality roughage (hay or pasture), which should make up at least 1.5% of the horse's body weight. For a yearling expected to reach an adult weight of 500kg, the recommended daily intake typically ranges from 1.25kg to 5kg, depending on their current condition and growth stage. To avoid digestive upset, meal sizes should be kept to a maximum of 2kg to 2.5kg per feeding.
