Glue Devil Soft Soap 1Kg

Glue Devil Soft Soap is a premium-quality, amber-colored vegetable-based soap specifically formulated for the plumbing and construction industries. This 1kg tub provides a high-slip, non-toxic lubricant that simplifies the assembly of rubber-ring jointed pipes and protects seals from damage during installation.

Key Performance Features

• High-Lubricity Formula: Provides an ultra-smooth surface that reduces the force required to join large-diameter pipes, preventing seal displacement or "rolling."
• Non-Toxic & Bio-Degradable: Safely formulated for use in potable (drinking) water systems and environmentally sensitive areas.
• Non-Corrosive: Specifically engineered to be neutral; it will not degrade rubber gaskets, O-rings, or plastic piping (PVC, HDPE, PP).
• Multi-Purpose Consistency: Features a thick, gel-like texture that clings to vertical surfaces and pipe ends without dripping, even in warm South African conditions.

Ideal Applications

• Pipe Jointing: The primary lubricant for push-fit soil and waste pipes, underground drainage systems, and municipal water mains.
• Cable Pulling: Ideal for lubricating electrical and telecommunications cables when pulling through long sections of conduit or ducting.
• Industrial Cleaning: Can be diluted for heavy-duty cleaning of floors, machinery, and workshop surfaces where a gentle yet effective soap is required.
• Rubber Seal Maintenance: Keeps rubber gaskets supple and prevents them from drying out or sticking during long-term storage or assembly.

Product Benefits

• Economical 1kg Tub: The wide-mouth container allows for easy "hand-application" or brush-use, ensuring zero waste on-site.
• Water Soluble: Any excess soap can be easily rinsed away with plain water, leaving no greasy residue behind.
• Safe for Potable Water: Meets the requirements for use in drinking water installations, ensuring it doesn't contaminate the supply.

Pro Tip: When joining pipes, apply a thin, even layer of Soft Soap to the chamfered end of the pipe and the inside of the rubber seal. Do not over-apply, as a small amount goes a long way. Always ensure the pipe end is clean of sand or grit before applying the soap to avoid damaging the gasket during insertion.
