The Mobi (Mobi-Jack) PVC 7-Pin Male Trailer Plug is a lightweight, cost-effective alternative to the metal version. It is designed for standard towing applications where the extreme impact resistance of metal isn't required but reliable electrical transmission is still essential.
Key Performance Features
- High-Impact PVC Housing: Made from durable, UV-stabilized plastic that resists becoming brittle under the South African sun. It is naturally corrosion-proof, making it a great choice for coastal regions.
- Brass Contact Pins: Uses high-conductivity brass pins to ensure a stable connection for indicators, brake lights, and tail lights.
- Easy Assembly: The PVC housing is typically held together by a single screw or a twist-lock mechanism, allowing for quick internal wiring or field repairs.
- Lightweight Design: Significantly lighter than the aluminium version, reducing wear on the socket's internal spring-loaded cover over time.

Wiring & Installation
When wiring the PVC plug, ensure the White (Earth) wire is securely fastened to Pin 3, as a poor earth connection is the most common cause of "dim" or "dancing" trailer lights.

- Pin 2 (Blue): Fog / Aux
- Pin 3 (White): Earth
- Pin 4 (Green): Right Indicator
- Pin 5 (Brown): Right Tail / Plate
- Pin 6 (Red): Brake Lights

Pro Tip: Since PVC plugs don't always come with the rubber weather boot included in the pack, it is a good idea to wrap the cable entry point with MTS Electrical Tape to prevent moisture from creeping into the screw terminals.
