MTS Spade

Maintenance Tips

• Cleaning: The "wipe-clean" tubular shaft is designed for easy maintenance. Always wash off wet mud after use to prevent surface rust on the blade.
• Sharpening: For easier digging in hard South African soils, use an MTS Combination Oilstone or a flat file to occasionally sharpen the leading edge of the blade.
• Storage: Store in a dry area. While the steel is coated, the cutting edge is often exposed steel and can rust if left in damp conditions.
