A Nylon Reducing Bush Insert (often referred to as a “Reducing Bush” or “Threaded Reducer”) is a specialized fitting used to transition between two different thread sizes in a piping system. In South Africa, these are almost exclusively made from glass-reinforced nylon, making them the go-to choice for high-pressure irrigation and borehole setups.
Unlike a “Reducing Socket” (which has female threads on both ends), a Bush has male threads on the outside and female threads on the inside.
