The Orbit Titan Gear Drive Shrub Sprinkler is a high-performance, stationary irrigation component engineered specifically for garden beds, dense shrubbery, and high-clearance landscaping. Unlike traditional pop-up models, this unit is designed to be mounted on a fixed riser, providing an elevated vantage point that allows the water stream to clear mature foliage for uniform coverage.
Core Engineering Specifications
- Whisper-Quiet Gear Drive: The internal drive mechanism utilizes a water-lubricated gear system, ensuring silent operation and a smooth, continuous rotation that eliminates the "impact noise" common in traditional sprinklers.
- Precision Arc Adjustment: The unit features a top-adjust mechanism allowing for arc patterns between 40∘ and 360∘. This flexibility ensures that irrigation is confined strictly to planted zones, preventing overspray onto structures or hardscapes.
- Multi-Stream Technology: The Titan is equipped with interchangeable nozzles that deliver water via multiple trajectories. This design breaks the stream into wind-resistant droplets, ensuring that the moisture reaches the soil even in exposed or breezy conditions.
- Stationary Shrub Mount: Designed for fixed-post installation, the unit features a 1/2-inch female threaded inlet, making it compatible with standard PVC or poly-pipe risers of varying heights.
Functional Performance
The Titan Gear Drive is optimized for large-scale coverage, capable of achieving a spray radius of up to 15 meters depending on the selected nozzle and system pressure. The gear-driven rotation provides a consistent "curtain of water" that promotes deep soil penetration and prevents the pooling associated with high-velocity impact sprinklers.
Constructed from high-density, UV-stabilized polymers, the Titan is built to withstand prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and fluctuating temperatures. Its internal filter system is easily accessible, allowing for rapid cleaning to maintain peak hydraulic efficiency in systems utilizing well or reclaimed water.
