Herschell Cold Zinc Protector is a high-performance, zinc-rich coating designed to provide long-term galvanic protection to iron and steel surfaces. Often referred to as "Cold Galvanizing," this aerosol spray creates a sacrificial layer that protects the base metal from rust and corrosion, even if the coating is scratched or damaged.

Usage Tips
- Surface Prep is Critical: For the "sacrificial" chemistry to work, the zinc must be in direct contact with the metal. Remove all loose rust, scale, and old paint using a wire brush or sandpaper. Clean with Herschell .A. Weld Cleaner to ensure the surface is oil-free.
- Shake Vigorously: Zinc dust is heavy and settles quickly. Shake the can for at least 2 minutes after the mixing ball starts rattling to ensure a uniform mixture.
- Thin, Multiple Coats: Apply 2 or 3 light coats rather than one thick one. This prevents sagging and ensures a more durable bond.
- Invert to Clear: After use, turn the can upside down and spray for 2 seconds to clear the nozzle. This prevents the heavy zinc from hardening and blocking the valve.
